HOW INFORMATION IS HANDLED
Privacy Policy
ToolFlow is built to keep your work on your device. There is no account, nothing you design is uploaded, and the little data that exists is technical and short-lived.
01The short version
- You do not need an account to use the builder.
- What you build is saved in your own browser, on your device — not in our database.
- We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell personal information.
- Our hosting provider records ordinary technical details about each page request.
- Any question about this policy goes to jacob@gettoolflow.com.
02Information we collect
ToolFlow does not ask you to sign up, so there is very little personal data in play. What exists falls into two narrow groups:
- Technical request data. Our hosting provider records standard server-log details for each page request — IP address, browser and device type, referring URL and timestamp. This is used to serve and protect the site, not to build a profile of you.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your address and the message so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
03Your flow designs
Your flow is kept in your browser’s local storage under the key toolflow:flow:v1 on the device you are using. It contains the flow name, the blocks, the connections between them, and the values you typed into configuration fields.
That data is not transmitted to our servers, and we cannot read it, change it or restore it. Exporting simply writes a JSON file to your own downloads folder.
Because it lives on the device, a flow you design on one machine will not appear on another unless you export the JSON and load it there. Clearing site data deletes it permanently.
04AI agents and tool calls
Agents and tools on the canvas are design elements today. ToolFlow does not send your instructions, prompts or data to any AI provider, and it does not call the APIs or tools you name in a block.
If we add execution, this section will be updated before it happens to say which providers receive what, and the date above will change.
05Local storage, cookies and fonts
- Local storage keeps your flow between visits. The builder works without cookies.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Loading them sends your IP address to Google as part of the request, which is how font delivery works.
- Hosting logs are kept by our infrastructure provider for the reasons described above.
06Who else sees anything
Outside your device, only these parties are involved:
- our hosting provider, for the technical request data above;
- Google, for the font request;
- any third-party endpoint you configure yourself — but only if and when such a call is actually made, which today it is not.
We do not share your information for marketing, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
07How long we keep things
- Your flow stays in your browser until you overwrite it or clear site data.
- Hosting logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations.
- Emails between us are kept while they remain relevant to the conversation.
08Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- delete your flow at any time from the builder, or by clearing site data;
- ask us what personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests.
Send the request to jacob@gettoolflow.com and we will respond within 30 days. Since we hold almost nothing, most of these requests are answered the same day.
09Children
ToolFlow is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
10Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the site. Your flow sits behind your browser’s same-origin rules and your device’s own controls, so avoid using the builder on shared or unmanaged machines, and keep secrets out of block fields. No method of storage is perfectly secure.
11Where information is processed
The site is served from a global hosting network, and email is processed where our mail tools run. If you use ToolFlow from a country with its own data laws, information may be processed elsewhere; by using the site you agree to that transfer where it is required.
12Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version appears here with a new “last updated” date, and material changes are called out. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept it.
